It was an eventful day for the rigidly scheduled Mr. Fogg. I mean, it’s a wonder he was able to get on with his day after that excitement about hiring his new servant Jean Passepartout at 11:29 AM, but then he went and bet the gentlemen at the Reform Club that he could circle the earth and return by 8:45 PM on December 21.
