We are a team of librarians who believe that fiction and reality make terrific bedfellows, and so we’ve compiled these fictional events that we want to commemorate in the real world. Want to celebrate Bloomsday from Ulysses (June 16)? Or the first warp flight in Star Trek (April 5)? Or see just how many times the Doctor saves Earth on Christmas Day (December 25)? Then this is the place for you!
Of course, not all books or movies have specific dates, so we’ll sprinkle some other events over the calendar too. (We’re looking at you, Wizard of Earthsea!)
