In 1984 by George Orwell, the action begins when the main character begins a diary on April 4, 1984. From there we get a look at the future. A deeply frightening (prescient?) view of the future.

How to Commemorate:

  • Start a diary.
  • Have conversations using Newspeak.
  • For God’s sake, don’t dust anything! (Because it’s a symbol, you know…)
