 In The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner, lovable Benjy Compson watches a game of golf on April 7, 1928.  He does some other things on this day too, but I’m honestly still very confused about the entire book.

How to Commemorate:

  • Watch golf.
  • Cry freely (Benjy does a lot of that).
  • Bonus points for crying freely while watching golf.
